A single fan blade from this engine is bigger than you are… The new Boeing 777x features the largest and most powerful turbofan engine yet, with only sixteen fan blades. You know, if you got just the nacelle, it’s probably large enough to be converted into an off the grid house. While the engine shown depicts the 777x’s engine, it is visually similar to the models used on the 747-8 and 787 Dreamliner.

Artist's comment: I have rendered many turbofan engines for my day job. But, this artwork felt like a vacation because of the perfectly symmetrical frontal view. That being said, I put in extra effort to really bring out the shine and strength of the whole engine pod with a strong dark and light contrast. Still hard to believe that this enormous engine has so few fan blades (the wonders of engineering!).
